Gomora has lived up to its promise to keep viewers entertained, which has kept many of them glued to Mzansi Magic during the week. Fans’ favorite storylines from the first season are still going on, and some new, interesting characters are getting more attention. Sibongile, Teddy’s half-sister, came out of nowhere to join them.

She made a big entrance after Don told everyone that she was Teddy’s sister from his last relationship. This has made Zodwa very angry and has opened up old wounds. She can’t seem to forgive Don for leaving her while she was pregnant with Teddy for another woman, and now that his life has come to a standstill, he wants to come back into her life and make her relationship with Bongani harder.

Israel Zulu is another actor in the play who shakes things up. After being away for 19 years, his character, Don Buthelezi, has turned Zodwa’s life upside down. Zulu recently talked about his new job with the Daily Sun.

“I’ll be playing Don. He had a relationship with Zodwa, played by Sannah Mchunu, and they had Teddy. He dumped Zodwa for a rich woman and went to live in mansions. Unfortunately, the woman recently died,” he said.

“Now he’s down and out as the wife’s family took everything and he has returned to Alex. He’ll come back with his daughter Sibongile. Don will also be competition for Mam’Sonto, played by Connie Chiume.

“He struggles a lot after returning and ends up getting into hijacking. Soon he starts taking over Sonto’s operations,” he said, adding that people will love him and his sense of humour. Don is coming to take over but people will love him because he’s funny. There will be sadness, sorrow, action and more importantly, drama.”
