Media character, Somizi’s refusal to show up in Randburg Magistrates court on Friday has caused him to get a capture warrant.
Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula in April laid a grievance against Somizi after he asserted on an Instagram Live that the clergyman revealed to him that the national lockdown would be expanded.
A short time later, the radio moderator said he was simply kidding.
In any case, the case has been delayed to July 23, 2020.
Gauteng National Prosecuting Authority Spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane affirmed to Sunday World:
“He didn’t show up in court face to face. According to system, a warrant was given yet remained till his next court date,”
